Stacey & Bryce, May 12
Stacey and Bryce tied the knot this past weekend. What a fun wedding for me! Stacey chose red, white, and black as her color scheme. We used red and white roses, white mini callas, bear grass and wheat grass as her main floral elements.
For the ceremony, we made two large pieces for the altar with curly willow and red silk blossoms. (Special thanks to Stacey's dad for making those cool black vases!) I didn't get a picture, but the front of the altar was lined with floating rose cubes, votive candles and red rose petals.
Stacey wanted a bouquet with roses and mini callas, but didn't want the "lollipop look." We varied the height of the roses and mini callas to give it a more natural look. We also included bear grass loops and spikes.
I love it when moms carry clutch bouquets instead of corsages--it's so elegant! For the mother's bouquets, we used white roses and mini callas along with bear grass loops and spikes.
Stacey's cake was amazing! We sprinkled some rose petals on each tier and surrounded the bottom layer with wheat grass, black rocks and rose petals. Her centerpieces each had one cube with either a floating rose/bear grass loops or a wheat grass/rose petal cube and a pair of floating candle votives.
The long coffee bar was decorated with sections of wheat grass that had red votive candles hidden in the grass. We surrounded the wheat grass with black rocks and red rose petals to tie in the color scheme.
Lora's Wedding at Thanksgiving Point
Lora's wedding was this past weekend at the waterfall at the Thanksgiving Point Gardens. Her colors were lavender, hot pink and silver. For her bouquets, we used hot pink and lavender mini callas (and yes, those are their natural color!). I forgot to take pictures of the boutonnieres and corsages, but we used lavender mini callas, bear grass loops and white dendrobium orchids.
Mini callas are so great--they are elegant yet simple. Plus they do well in the heat, which is a big plus with the hot weather we've been having!
Happy Mother's Day! (a little late)
One of the best things about my job (besides working with fabulous brides, and planning events, and being around flowers all the time, and meeting other great wedding vendors...) is being able to give flowers to the people I love!
This table bouquet included 'Vogue' roses, 'Ballet' roses (one of my favorites!), hot pink peonies and hot pink mini callas.

Sydney's Bridals
Sydney took her bridal pictures on Monday and we made this bouquet with cream peonies, white ranunculus, white freesia, white lisianthus, white sweet pea and hot pink sweet pea. I am so excited to see how her pictures turned out!
This coming weekend is going to be busy for us! We have 3 events scheduled at the Point, Thanksgiving Point and in downtown Salt Lake. I'll post pictures soon!

Heather & Chris in Moab
Congratulations to Heather & Chris who were married this weekend down in Moab! (They had their friends pick their flowers up on the way down, so unfortunately, I didn't get to go...)
Heather's bouquet had a loose and natural feel and included orange 'Milva' roses, cream dahlias, cream freesia, red freesia, rust and green hypericum and seeded eucalyptus. I think my favorite part is that the stems were wrapped in raffia--just perfect for a Moab event.
We made bouquets for them to tie on the chairs for the ceremony that included 'Milva' roses, hypericum berry and seeded eucalyptus and were tied with raffia also. The boutonnieres and corsages were all freesia with lily grass loops and were accented with a raffia knot. I didn't get to see the centerpieces, but Heather & Chris have been collecting antique bottles and were putting a cluster of bottles on each table with a single stem of freesia or a dahlia in each. I can't wait to see pictures of how it turned out!
